Parent Coordination
Benjamin Papa was trained through the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts as a Parent Coordinator. Parent Coordination is an alternative dispute resolution process for post-divorce families that are experiencing a high degree of conflict and difficulty co-parenting their children following the divorce. As a Parent Coordinator, Mr. Papa works within the bounds of a divorced family's existing Parenting Plan Order to help parties resolve conflict implementing and interpreting the Plan. Mr. Papa is neutral between the parties and first attempts to resolve the dispute in a mutually satisfactory way using mediation and similar techniques. However, with Parent Coordination, if the parties cannot mutually agree to a solution, Mr. Papa is empowered to "break the tie" and make a decision to resolve the issue without the parties going to the time, expense, and stress of needing to return to Court for every post-divorce conflict. Contact us if you think Parent Coordination might help your family.
