How We Are Paid in Your Disability Case:
You Owe Us Nothing Unless You Win Your Disability Case
At Papa & Roberts, we don't get paid until your application or claim for Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security Income is approved. If you do not win your case after we work with you on your application, hearing or appeal, we will not charge you an attorney fee. You will owe us nothing, no matter how much work we have performed to help you.

Federal law provides that attorney fees in Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income cases are recovered as a percentage of any past due amount awarded to you. You don't have to worry about the cost involved, since we receive nothing until you receive a check for benefits due to you. We are paid according to federal law only if we recover back benefits for you.
In some instances, there may be costs to obtain documentation, records, expert testimony or other expenses necessary for your claim. Our staff works diligently to help you minimize those out of pocket costs to you. Unfortunately, we can't give you an estimate of other costs until we know more about your specific disabilities. After your consultation, we can advise you regarding what kinds of medical tests you may need to support your case, and which ones may not be necessary. You will need to pay the costs of these tests, record request fees from your doctors' offices, and the cost of filing your application or other fees from any request for consideration of your case.
