Probate Process

After a person dies, probate is the process of implementing the deceased person’s last will and testament. If he or she did not have a will, the courts will process the property, including re-titling homes, cars, bank accounts and other personal property through a defined legal process. Typically, an executor is named by the court (most wills indicate who the deceased person named as the executor) and then our probate lawyers work closely with the executor to be sure the probate process is navigated correctly and in a way that protects executors and provides the benefits to the beneficiaries that the deceased person intended.

We know that covering legal fees can be a struggle. In most probate cases, the legal fees are paid from the estate at the end of the process, giving families financial flexibility when they may need it most.
